April 14th - La Cruz

Walked over to the shipyard to give Peter a nice bottle of scotch as a thank you for taking care of Janabanana. Then we walked over to the fish market to buy some Dorado to make fish tacos for dinner tonight. We bought 1.285 Kg for $179 pesos, that's $13.77 US. We are going to miss getting such great and fresh fish for so little. We kept a couple chunks out for dinner and froze the rest so that we could have another dinner of Dorado on the way home.

Leaving the fish market, we found these tubs of fresh Yellow Fin Tuna. Five tubs here and two more on the side.

We are talking big boys!

Adrian and his crew have been working for three days straight now washing, waxing, polishing, shampooing carpets on the bridge, cleaning eisinglass and now cleaning the filthy black power cord to make it yellow again. They are doing a great job!

This was around sunset and we see the moon coming up.

We really wanted to see the red moon last night. I got up at 2 and peered around from inside the boat and even went up the stairs to the bridge but I couldn't even find the moon. David got up at 3 and he was braver than I, he walked right outside on the bridge and spotted the moon and snapped a few pictures for me. Thanks honey! You can even see Mars in the pic!
