April 5th - Splash Party! La Cruz La Joya 108

Went to the shipyard this morning. I washed the sheets and needed to make both beds on the JB. While I was cleaning this 115 foot Sun Seeker came in. Wow!

Today is our splash party. Even though Janabanana is not in the water, we planned the party for today. When we came back to the shipyard for the party at 2:00, the guys were already cooking up these goodies. Roasted asparagus, chorizo sausage and cheese quesadillas.

Peter Vargas on the left and his family put this spread together for us.

My plate, yum!

Connie and Ed have their sailboat here in the yard. Their mast snapped off.

Peter's secret recipe for the marinade that he soaks the Arrachera in is sooooo good. We keep trying to get it out of him but NO.

David with Katrina from the Marina and John off of S/V Moon Shadow.

Cindy from Villa Amor del Mar and Mike from PV Sailing

Rigoberto, Alejandro and Peter. Everyone is enjoying the good food and drink. Thanks Peter and Lupe!

Deb from Moon Shadow and Chris from Villa Amor.

Our unfortunate collision with the rock is what brought us together with Chris and Cindy. Great friends for life! Thanks to Katrina for recommending Villa Amor del Mar :-). Please email more pics Katrina!

After the party we all went to Sandra and Tito's new restaurant for dinner. David's and my dinner came to $66 pesos. We had pork and carne asada tacos for dinner. That's about $5. Can't believe how inexpensive food is here. Here we are at Gecko Rojo for drinks and dancing. This was their end of the year bash. Free Jell-O shots for all!

Chris got up and sang a couple of songs with the band.

Lots of dancing and a fun day and night!
