May 9th - Los Muertos to Cabo San Lucas

Left Los Muertos at 6:20 for our 90n.m. trip to Cabo San Lucas. We started fishing at 8:00.

1:00 FISH on! Nice big dorado that David is fighting. He jumped about 4 feet in the air.

Got him! I had to hold the pole while David went out on the swim platform to gaff him. On one of the attempts it pissed this guy off and he made another run which just about pulled me overboard! Managed to reel him back and we finally got him gaffed but he did not want to die. He must weigh 35-40 pounds. He was really fighting to get off the gaff hook. Finally he gave up and we tossed him in the cooler.

He barely fit. His tail is sticking out.

Now that's going to be some good eating! David filleted him on the way to Cabo. He caught him just off Imen Bank in about 170 feet of water.

The successful lure the Kevin Clark loaned us. Thanks Kevin!

We made it to Cabo about 4:30. Took a couple of chunks of our fish up to a restaurant here at the Marina and they cooked it up for us for dinner.
