January 7th - La Cruz

Went for my walk again this morning. Cleaned and vacuumed the boat. David has Adrian working on removing mildew from the black canvas top and replacing our fishing pole holders. Ours were no Bueno!

We have a new neighbor, A3D2, a 73' Ferretti. It's right next to us so she blocks our view and internet connection a bit. She has a crew of about 6 people. Crazy. They were getting the boat ready and stocked with food for two days. The owners, a young couple, another couple and maybe the mother came and got on board and are spending one night in Yelapa and then will return tomorrow. The captain, Kiki, is from La Paz and has worked for the owners for 5-1/2 years. Kiki is very friendly and helpful. He took David on a tour. Not a good set up for us. I will take a picture for the blog when they get back.

Went for a ride in the dinghy this afternoon all the way out to Punta Mita. Saw a whale staying on top of the water for a very long time. Not sure what she was doing, maybe feeding a new baby whale? Punta Mita was pretty with about 12 boats anchored there. It might be a good place to anchor there and then leave to go to the fishing grounds from there. It would cut at least a couple hours off the trip.

Waters are calm enough for boast to anchor here, if the wind is right

Golf course next to one of the resorts

Nice resorts but where are the people?

Another resort

A few vacationers here
