March 12th - La Cruz La Joya 107

David checked on the boat and then we went on a good walk today. Ran into Julie from Sea Fox at the Marina. Dennis is taking the boat to the East coast through the Panama Canal. It was not their plan. They have a 55 foot Nordhavn and were supposed to go back up to Bellingham. They have the Sea fox for sale now and already have an Ocean Alexander for sale on the east coast too. Oh well, they never intended to be in La Cruz, just La Paz, like us. Who knew we would figure out that it was too cold in La Paz and that we needed to be in the PV area?

After lunch, we went to the marina and met with the Budget people to extend the rental on our car until 4/5/14. Then we took pictures of the dinghy to show a local boat cover guy, Guillermo, our problems with the upholstery wearing out.

The problem is mostly the piping has rotted out, it was that way when we bought it.

So Guillermo called tonight and he can completely recover all the cushions and seats and redo all the piping for $3500.00 pesos, that's $269.00 US. Can you say cheap Brent Whittle? :-)

David is admiring the suburban view of La Cruz outside our front door of our condo.

This is his view.

Our kitchen, everything we need.

From the patio, our living room , dining room and kitchen. Nice huh?

Our patio. Where in the world is David? ;-)

Off our patio is the pool

La Joya Condos on the left here, 4 story. Our view towards the beach.

Beautiful sunset tonight

Fajitas for dinner, oh boy!
