After a good night's sleep and my meds I'm feeling better today, not 100% but better. Moon Shadow, a sailboat that has been in the La Cruz Shipyard getting repainted is having a splash party in the yard at 2:00 today. Peter Vargas the owner of Sea Tek is doing Moon Shadow's job as well. The splash party is to celebrate completing the job, getting back in the water and to thank all the guys in the yard for their hard work.
Had a fun afternoon at Moon Shadow's party. Peter and his family served up his secret recipe of marinated arrachera, bbq'd to perfection. Served with all the sides, beans, tortillas, salsa, grilled asparagus and guacamole. So tender and delicious! Of course lots office cold beer as well. Had a good time visiting with everyone.
We went out for a couple hours in the evening to Octopus's Garden so we could listen to The Guild. They played smooth jazz. The leader is Jerome from S/V Kinda Blue and Mimi from Tatewari payed guitar. They had a fellow from Canada that came up and sang several songs with them and he was really good too.
