February 11th - Punta Mita

Rough night sleeping. The anchorage was so rolly last night and I must say I am a spoiled girl, I like my air conditioning! While we are anchored we have no power to run the AC as we don't run the generator at night. It gets way too hot, 80-82. We'll have to try opening the v-berth hatches and leaving all the doors upstairs open tonight and see if that helps. David started the generator when he got up and my AC started up :-). I slept in until 7:30.

Sunrise this morning. Our sunrise is at 7:30 and the sun sets at 7:00 now.

Got an email from our friends aboard Family Time. This is a picture of them crossing the Bahia Bar at El Salvador. Pretty cool.

This photo of Family Time was posted on the El Salvador rally FB page. Crossing the bar, arriving and then going into relax mode with some tropical drink that Jenny whipped up. Miss these guys a lot!

We decided to fish today. Here we are trolling alongside of Marieta West.

We picked up a Skipjack Tuna here. We kept it for dinner tonight.

This is Marieta LaOnda (The Wave) the third island, a rock tower 145'

This is Marieta El Morro the fourth island. It's reefs attract Marlin, sailfish, tuna, yellowtail and dorado. We'll just have to keep fishing and one of these days we'll get something good.

This is the other side of Marieta La Onda. We hooked another skipjack here but he got off at the boat.

Our sashimi appetizer. We had salad, broccoli, rice and seared tuna for dinner. Very good. Our movie was 1988 Frantic with Harrison Ford. It was frantic to say the least and some bad acting :-).
