February 20th - La Cruz Villa Amor del Mar

Breathtaking sunrise this morning from Villa Amor del Mar!

Midship starboard damaged area. Did not go through not go through the hull. Will repair by layering many layers of fiberglass.

Look at the gaping hole in the bow! After a full day of cutting and chiseling away at it, now they are working on the inside of the hull. Progress is being made. David found a place in Redmond Washinton that can make the shaft and struts. They can cast the parts and ship within 3 weeks.

This is Ally Cat. She is one of Chris and Cindy's friendly cats. She likes to visit and patrol the property.

The flowers around the resort are all so beautiful.

Seems more like Hawaii here.

Perfect flowers.

Enjoyed some quiet pool time this afternoon and finished my Nora Roberts book. Tonight we are going to our favorite restaurant Masala in La Cruz. Tonight they have Tatewari Trio, a Flamenco guitar group playing.

One of the walls at Masala is painted this brilliant red.

This is by far my favorite restaurant in La Cruz, so beautiful.

Free appetizer of delicious foccacia bread with olive oil and balsamic

I ordered the three course special. This appetizer is marinated beef strips over radicchio with a soy ginger sauce, delicious.

David's two rib pork chop with a crusty potato pancake. He loves this and has ordered it every time we dine here.

My entree was a shrimp stuffed poblano pepper with a lobster mascarpone sauce. Also delicious. Desert was homemade cheesecake, my picture was too dark but it was fabulous.

We met Julio on the left. He always comes out and greets us and makes sure we were happy with our meal. How could we not be happy?

This is the Tatewari Trio, a Flamenco guitar group that plays here every Thursday. Sonny, on the left has a box that he sits on the drums a beat on the box. It has a snare inside. Such a fun evening and so reasonable. 3 course fine dinning and entertainment for only $250 pesos, that's about $19 US.
