February 13th - La Cruz Villa Bella

Left Villa Bella at 9 and walked to the shipyard. The door was wide open on Janabanana. We looked around and it appeared that nothing was missing, weird. They are starting the work of putting an estimate together. Walked down the beach to a Boutique hotel called Villa Amor del Mar. They have a separate 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom house with a full kitchen and 3 outside decks for relaxing and taking in the view of Banderas Bay. It comes with full use of the infinity pool and hotel facilities. Cindy Bouchard the owner, a Canadian and her husband Chris made us a great deal, 1/2 price what the daily rate is if we stay 3 weeks. Sold! At least if we can't be on our home on the water, we'll get a nice place on the beach to enjoy. We also made arrangements for a rental car starting Monday for 3 weeks so we can get around easier and do some day trips to other beaches.

A better shot of the damage to the mid starboard side.

This is our view from Villa Bella. High atop a hill, across the highway in La Cruz

Siesta time for SeƱor David. The blue awning is the entrance to our suite.

Outdoor patio area outside our room.

King size bed is nice for a change

Our sitting area, there is a kitchenette behind the bar where David is standing. Nice place and wonderful staff and owner, just too far and straight uphill. Tonight we are walking down to Tacos on th Street for dinner and then to Philo's to have a few drinks and listen to some music.

Tacos on the Street

Philo's had Jam Night. Philo is seated in the middle. He plays guitar and a really good juice harp. A bunch of local gringos show up and play some really good music. The guy on the right with the sax is Gary, he's from Canada and is staying at Villa Bella where we are.
